i have yes many people who i came to care about as well it frankly terrifies me that everyone i care about here will leave me or worse return here and forget me i dont want to be alone again
And it's alright to feel that way. Let it run its course. Trying to fight back that sadness only has a way of bottling it up until later, when it's more difficult to deal with.
One good thing about being here is that it's given me time to reflect on things I might not have been able to otherwise. Time lessens some wounds, I feel, but only if they're given the chance to heal.

He settles for something safe, something mostly on the surface. There's more, but nothing he feels comfortable discussing with a relative stranger. ]
He did his best to protect me, but also to teach me about the world. He was brave, and honest, and tried to do what was right.
The people loved him, almost as much as I did. Many felt his loss keenly as well.
