One good thing about being here is that it's given me time to reflect on things I might not have been able to otherwise. Time lessens some wounds, I feel, but only if they're given the chance to heal.

[ Well that's not a complicated topic at all.

He settles for something safe, something mostly on the surface. There's more, but nothing he feels comfortable discussing with a relative stranger. ]

He did his best to protect me, but also to teach me about the world. He was brave, and honest, and tried to do what was right.

The people loved him, almost as much as I did. Many felt his loss keenly as well.

You'd be right. I am a king, at least at home. Here, I'm not much different from any other Dominant.

Titles don't have much bearing here. I've come to rely more on my skills as a healer and a priest, in my time here.
