[ He'd still like to know the reason, if at all possible. A week's absence is obviously a concern, more for Rhys than the shifts.

More work for him to focus on right now is...probably a good thing. ]

[ Rhys is aware that he shouldn't lie about it, not when it would be so easy to find him out. And not when he can't think of a lie that doesn't make him sound delicate, or admit how much Cullen's departure has rattled him. ]

[ There's no judgement there. How could there be? He knows all too well how easy it is to encounter trouble in this place, at the hands of the city or not. ]

At least Rhys can't see the way Anduin's eyes shut, or the way he rubs at the bridge of his nose. The city certainly seems to be on a hot streak. Or perhaps tempers are simply running higher than usual. ]
